DHAKA: An unidentified auto-rickshaw driver was killed and four others were injured when a truck rammed a CNG-run auto rickshaw at Paltan intersection in the city at 5:00am Thursday.

Paltan Thana Sub-Inspector Sushangkar Paul told banglanews, “Four traders were going to Kaptan Bazar of Gulistan from Tejgaon to buy chicken riding on the auto rickshaw.”

“A truck rammed the auto rickshaw at the intersection, leaving its driver dead on the spot and four passengers injured,” he added.

The injured were admitted at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Of them, one was released after giving first-aid.
