NARAYANGANJ: Recording of depositions of the civil society’s members on the gruesome seven-murder in Narayanganj has begun at the district Circuit House on Sunday.
The administrative investigation committee began recording of statement at 3:00pm where 20 people, including local businesspeople, politicians, journalists, lawyers and human rights activists will submit their depositions.
None of them witnessed the killing incident.
On May 10, the probe committee took the disposition of 25 family members of the seven victims at the conference room of the district deputy commissioner.
Later, in the first phase of mass hearing, the committee recorded depositions of six people at the district Circuit House on May 12 while of 71 out 98 enlisted people in the second phase on May 15 and at the guest house of Siddirganj Power House in 3rd phase in day on May 17.
During the second phase hearing, victims’ relative demanded to hold the hearing at Siddirganj.
The committee was asked to submit report within seven working days.
Earlier, police arrested two former Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) officers from Dhaka cantonment area for their suspected link with sensational 7-killing after abduction in Narayanganj.
