DHAKA: At least 37 children were allegedly killed over political harassment, claimed Social and Economic Enhancement Program (SEEP), an NGO on Wednesday.

The organization also claimed the matter at a seminar titled ‘to do for the street children’ in IPD seminar room of the National Parliament House.

Deputy Speaker Fazle Rabbi Mia was chief guest while SIIP’s executive director Fazlul Haque Chowdhury chaired the seminar.

In keynote Abdullah-Al-Mamun, Program Manager of ‘Manusher Jonya Foundation’ said that at present the number of street children is over 11.44 lakh while the number was 6.80 lakh in 2004.

He added: “We are making them different while saying street child.”
