Ansar man shot dead in city

DHAKA: A member of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) was shot to death by miscreants in front of Maghbazar wireless gate area in the city early Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Alim, 28, son of Mirza Fakir, hailed from Sahgata area of Gaibandha district.
 
Sources said that some 5/6 men opened fire aiming the victim at around 1:00am in the area, leaving him critically injured.

Later, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctor declared him dead around 1:20am.

As per viscera report, Alim’s body bore three bullet injuries in his right side of neck, right chest and left hand.  

Ramna Thana Sub-Inspector Kamrul Hasan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
