BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has proposed holding the next national election before the beginning of the upcoming Ramadan during his meeting with Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus in London.
In response, Chief Adviser Yunus said that if the necessary reforms can be completed in time, it would be possible to hold the election in the week prior to Ramadan.
The proposal came during a high-level meeting between the two leaders, which is being viewed as a significant step in resolving the country’s ongoing political crisis.
The meeting focused on possible election timelines, reforms, and steps toward restoring democratic processes.
