DHAKA: Anti-Corruption Commission will introduce a separate cell to loke after the graft of former and current ministers and Members of Parliament if necessary. The commission will take necessary steps if get any proof.
ACC secretary Mohammad Fayzur Rahman categorically said on Monday in a monthly briefing at the commission headquarters in Segun Bagicha in the city.
He said the anti-graft body will establish separate cell for investigation the corruption agallegations against VIPs if necessary.
To a question about the corruption of seven former and current ministers and MPs, the ACC official said, “We are collecting information. We have got some evidence of one’s involvement in corruption.”
About the investionation of ccorruption conducted by Rana Plaza owner Sohel Rana, the ACC secretary said, the investigation officer will submit their report soon regarding this matter.
Among others, ACC director general Dr Samsul Arefin and deputy-director (public relations) Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya were presednt at the briefing.
