DHAKA: Four police personnel were injured in a head on collision between a truck and a police van in Beltoli area under Sadar upazila of the district on Tuesday.

The injured are Police Sergeant Anwar Hossain, constables Nurul Amin and M Shamsuddin and the driver of the van Kumar Padda.

Police sources said that a Dhaka bound goods-laden truck collided head on with a police van on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in the area around 7:00am, leaving four police personnel injured critically.

The injured were rushed to Comilla Medical College Hospital.

However, police seized the truck from the area.

Sub-Inspector of Mainamati Highway Police Amal Chandra Das confirmed the matter to banglanews.
