CHITTAGONG: The custom officials of Shah Amanat International Airport held three passengers of Bangladesh Biman with 54 gold bars weighing 5.8 kilograms on Thursday morning.

The detainees are- Rezauddin Rana, Osman Goni and M Ayub.

Assistant Commissioner of Chittagong Customs Nahid Nawshad Jamil told banglanews, “Acting on tip off, customs officials searched the body of the three passengers and found the gold bars in the shoes of them.”

The gold bars worth is around Tk 2.7 crore, he added.
