QuickBooks trainees get certificates

DHAKA: The trainees of QuickBooks and Career Development course, organized by Center for Human Development (CHD-BD), were given certificates at Elmhurst Hospital in New York on Saturday.

The organsiation also held the concluding ceremony of Free Workshop on English Language Basic Writing and Communication Skills on that day at the same venue.

CHD-BD President, also Controller of Dominican Province of Saint Joseph charitable organization, Monzur Choudhury and CHD-BD communication director Badal Hasib conducted the training and the course respectively.

The aim of the ceremony was to appreciate the students for their participation to cultivate their interest in learning QuickBooks and English language so that they don’t fear to face the challenges of current job market.

Local council member Danielle Dromm presided over the function while Badal Hasib, CHD-BD executive director Gias Uddin Biswas and CHD-BD deputy director Gazi Salauddin Ahmed welcomed the participants on behalf of the CHD-BD team and introduced Mr. Danielle Dromm to the participants.

In the opening speech, Badal Hasib thanked Danielle for his effortless contribution towards improving the lives of the South Asian Community in Jackson Heights and to facilitate the trainings at Elmhurst Hospital.
Daniel Dromm, in his speech, emphasized the importance of learning and grooming up oneself.

He said that he has been working hard to improve the lives of South Asian community and their rights. He is working with his party to provide voting rights to the immigrants and requested the participants to help him achieve his goals for the community.

He added that after his term is over, he likes to see a Bangladeshi person taking up his position of the council, who will take forward his unfinished works.

He concluded his speech by thanking Bangladeshi community for all their selfless support and selecting him as a council member and reassured all support from his part.

Participantsof the training program said the courses were very useful to them and would widen the door of opportunity for them to seek career in the accounting field.

They also thanked Dromm, Monzur and CHD-BD team and appreciated their contribution and commitments towards conducting this training program.

At the end of the function, certificates were handed over to the participants followed by offering prayer for speedy recovery of the father of Monzur, who was unable to attend the function as he was in Bangladesh for his father’s illness.
