DHAKA: A seminar on ‘The Latest in E-Commerce’ jointly organized by Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) and Google Business Group (GBG) was held on Tuesday.

Held at the BASIS Auditorium in the city, issues include spreading of e-commerce on different goods and services, its possibilities and obstacles were discussed at the seminar.

With Akhoni.com chief executive officer Shameem Ahsan in the chair, the seminar was also addressed, among others, by GBG manager Nash Islam, Riad Hasan, and Salman Hossain.

Shameem said, “USA, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Germany have brought huge change withdrawing value added tax on e-commerce” urging government to do so for next 10 years.”

At the seminar, representatives of Akhoni.com, Bikroy.com, AjkerDeal.com, Rokomari.com, HungryNaki.com, DirectFreshBD.com and some others e-commerce institution presented there activities.
