DHAKA: Visiting British Minister of State in the Department for International Development Alan James Carter Duncan on Wednesday said the January 5 poll is not an illegal but unusual manner.
“The 10th parliamentary election of Bangladesh is unusually but not illegal as it was not an inclusive one,” he said.
Duncan made the remarks while speaking at a press conference at British High Commission office in the afternoon.
The British minister said polls violence after five years serially is not acceptable to anyone.
He urged all political parties to work unitedly by shunning the path of violence.
Duncan asserted that United Kingdom does not support any kinds of mayhem in Bangladesh.
