DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia held a meeting with visiting UK state minister for International Development Alan Duncan at her Gulshan residence of the city Wednesday night.

The meeting began at 9:00pm and continued till 9:30pm. But BNP maintained secrecy about the meeting.  After the meeting, the party sources confirmed the matter.

British High Commissioner to Dhaka Robert Gibson, BNP vice chairman Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury and BNP Chairperson’s advisor Riaz Chaudhry were present at the meeting.

Meanwhile, Singaporean High Commissioner in Dhaka Chan Heng Wing held a meeting with Khaleda at her house from 9:30pm to 10:00pm on Wednesday.

During the meeting, existing police situation and bilateral relation between the two countries were discussed, BNP sources said.
