The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rain or thunder showers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, at many places across the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9:00 am today.
According to a bulletin issued this morning, a few places in Mymensingh, Sylhet, and Chattogram divisions are likely to experience such weather, while one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions may also witness similar conditions. Moderately heavy rainfall is expected at some locations.
Day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged nationwide. The monsoon is reported to be less active over Bangladesh but moderate over the North Bay, with a low-pressure area likely to form over the North Bay and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal around October 1.
On Sunday, Rajshahi recorded the highest temperature at 36.2°C, while Srimangal had the lowest at 23.6°C. In Dhaka, the sun will set at 5:48 pm today and rise at 5:50 am tomorrow.
