KISHOREGANJ: At least two persons were killed and 25 others injured as a bus turned turtle in Chaliagop area under Pakundia upazila of the district early Monday.

The deceased were identified as Abul Hasem of Nandail upazila and Mamum of Gowripur upazila of Mymensingh district.

Police said that a Tarail-bound night coach of Ishakhan Parabahan, coming from Dhaka, turned turtle on roadside field after it had a collision with a wooden logs loaded horse-drawn carriage in the area, leaving Hashem dead on the spot and 26 more injured.

On information, district Fire Service and Civil Defense personnel rushed in and began rescue operation.

The injured were admitted at the Upazila Health Complex and Sadar Hospital.

Mamum died while undergoing treatment at the Sadar Hospital.
