DHAKA: Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said the teachers are working as the makers of the nation’s root.
Inu was addressing the Liberation War affairs session of the 140th Basic Training Course at the auditorium of National Academy for Educational Management (NAEM) in the city on Thursday.
The minister told to the Education cadre officers of the civil service, “You will build the nation’s roots, which will not be made without the realty; don’t build the rootless nation by teaching the false history”.
“Don’t make yourself inferior showing excuses in case you can’t keep your promise rather make an apology, the students will learn from you”, he added.
Inu urged the media activists to become objective and information-based saying, “You will always remain stood beside the true and the democracy, which will protect the people and the country”.
The minster asked those committed crimes against humanity during the War of Independence in 1971 to apologize to nation for their wrongdoing and said “nation will never forgive you (the criminals)”.
NAEM director general Khan Habibur Rhaman and some 180 education cadres officers took part the session.
