COX’S BAZAR: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members detained three Myanmar citizens with 19, 412 pieces Yaba tablets on Friday morning from Naitangpara area of Teknaf of the district.

The detainees are- Abeda Begum, wife of late Abdul Hye, Hazera Begum, wife of late Hossain Ahmed, Mohammad Anch, son of late Mohammad Yunus.

BGB-42 Battalion Commander Lieutenant Abujar Al Jahid told banglanews, “A patrol team of BGB detained 24 illegal Myanmar citizens from the area. Then searching them BGB seized the huge Yaba tablets from the three detainees.”

Later, the detainees were handed over with Teknaf Thana after filing case, he added.
