MUNSIGANJ: The main works of the much-awaited Padma Bridge, government’s highest prioritized project, would be visible by the year of 2014.

Communication Minister Obaidul Quader came up with the remarks when visiting the Padma Bridge Project in Mawa jetty area of Lohajang upazila at 11:00am Saturday.

The minster said though government is the main financier to the project, the World Bank is the parent institution in constructing of the bridge’s main structure and the company, tested by the WB, will work to build the structure.

During his visit, Quader was accompanied by Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, local lawmaker Yasmin Emily, Planning Commission member Hedyatul Al Mamum, CQK Mustaq Ahmed and Munsiganj deputy commissioner Saiful Islam Badal.
