DHAKA: A Dhaka Court granted bail to BNP leader Mirza Abbas and sent two other leaders--Gayeshwar Chandra Roy and Amanullah Aman-- to jail in a murder case.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Harun-Or-Rashid passed the order Sunday after they sought bail surrendering before the court.

After hearing, court granted bail to Abbas on Tk 50,000 bond and sent others to jail.

Earlier, High Court asked them to surrender on Sunday as their 6-week bail period ended.

Rampura Thana SI Al Mamun filed a murder case with Ramna Thana after a shibir leader was killed during BNP-led 18-party’s March for Democracy programme on December 29 last.
