NARAYANGANJ:  The fire which broke out at export-oriented garment factory in Fatullah under Sadar Upazila of the city is now under control on Monday morning.

The cause of fire could not be known immediately.

Witnesses said that the fire originated around 10:00am at dying and printing section of Fakir Apparels and spread out to adjacent area.

On information, four units of fire fighters rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after an hour effort.

Meanwhile, five workers of the factory became injured when they tried to douse the fire.

Narayanganj fire service and civil defense senior station officer Niaz Ahmed confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The extent of loss from the fire could not be estimated immediately.
