FARIDPUR: A woman along with her son was killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Khulna highway at Kanaipur BSCIC Industrial Area of the district on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Selina Akhter, 45, wife of Ohidul Sheikh and their son Sumon Sheikh, 21, student of Faridpur Government Rajendra College and residents of Phulbhar village under Alphadanga upazila of the district.

Witnesses said a rashly driven passenger bus crushed into their motorbike while they were going to Alphadanga, leaving them dead on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge of Faridpur Kotwali Thana Syed Mohsinul Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
