NARAYANGANJ: Two housewives allegedly committed suicide in the city on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Sathi Akhter, 22, resident of Sonachora area under port Thana and Rokhsana Begum, 24, of Cemex area of the district.

Sources said that Sathi committed suicide at her residence over family feud around 8:30am.

On the other hand, Rokhsana committed suicide over marital dissatisfaction and egotism with her husband in Cemex area of Mahmud Nagar around 12:00am.

On information, police rushed to the place and recovered the bodies from the spots.

The bodies were sent to Narayanganj Sadar Hospital Morgue for autopsy.

Police filed two unnatural death cases with Port Thana in this connection.
