DHAKA: Armed miscreants kidnapped a businessman in Alaiyapur union under Begumganj Upazila of the district on Friday.

The abductee was identified as Abul Bashar, son of one Foyez Contractor of the area.

Victim’s family sources told banglanews Bashar was kidnapped from his house at noon.

“Kidnappers are demanding Tk five-lakh as ransom,” they added.

Confirming the matter, Begumganj Circle Additional Police Super Ehsanul Kabir said that police was trying wholeheartedly to rescue the businessman.
