DHAKA: Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pankaj Saran said that for boosting the bi-lateral relations between Bangladesh and India, strong political will is needed.

Besides, both should be aware of those small groups, who are trying to futile relation of the neighboring countries, he added.

Pankaj came to this view while addressing a seminar “1971: Bangladesh and East and North East India Historcizing and contemporizing Relationship” arranged by Bangladesh Itihas Someelon at Bangla Academy on Saturday.

Earlier, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mahmaud Ali inaugurated the seminar.

He said there that development of neighboring Bangladesh and India depends on communication, investment, cultural exchange and relation of Indian states near to Bangladesh border.

Relation build up is very much necessary for ‘Win Win’ development, the minister added.

Bangladesh Itihas Sommelon President Muntasir Mamun urged there to solve water and border crisis before relation build-up while its Secretary Mejbah Kamal said ‘transit of thoughts from mind to mind should get priority before road transit between Bangladesh and India’.
