15 remanded in N’ganj 7-murder

NARAYANGANJ: A Narayanganj court on Sunday placed 15 people on remand in different terms in the sensational seven murder case in Narayanganj.

Senior judicial magistrate of the district court KM Mohiuddin handed down the orders after police produced them before the court.

Six will taken to 7-day remand in the murder case and nine will be taken to 2-day remand under the Article 54.

The six accused in the killing case are, Tanvir Ahmed, Yasin alias Sipon, Alamgir Hossain, Sona Mina alias Imran, Juwel Ahmed Shahin and Mizan.

On the other hand, the accused under the Article 54 are Liton alias Mehdi Hasan, Mofizul Haque Mofiz, M Sourov, Kawum, Nazrul Islam, Ashraful, M Kajol, M Jamal Hossain, Arifuzzaman Sarkar alias Arif.

They were nabbed during a raid of law enforcing agency at counselor Nur Hossain, the prime accused in the case.

On Wednesday, Narayanganj City Corporation Councilor Nazrul Islam, senior lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarkar and five others were found dead floating on River Shitalkkhya after 3-day of their abduction.
