COX’S BAZAR: Some 107 police personnel were transferred from the district as a part of a new strategy of administration to curb Yaba smuggling through the area. 

Of the transferred police 16 are Sub-Inspectors, 17 Assistant Sub-Inspectors and 74 are Constables. 

Cox’s Bazar Additional Police Super Tofayel Ahmed on Monday confirmed the matter to banglanews but didn’t disclose the reason for transfer. 

A police source said that law enforcers took some measures to control Yaba tablets smuggling and new strategy of transferring was applied in police department in this regard.

Earlier, five Officers-in-Charge (OC) were transferred from Cox’s Bazar.
