DHAKA: Ayesha Humaiya, who was arrested for killing her own child Samiul in the capital, gave a confessional statement to the CMM Court Monday admitting her guilt.

SI Sahan Haque, Investigation Officer of the case, produced her before the court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Shamima Parvin, and appealed for a record of her statement, General Recording Officer Jahirul Islam confirmed.

The IO took her on 14-day remand in three phases.

Police arrested Esha’s boy friend Arif on June 28 who also gave a confessional statement to the Magistrate.

Samiul Azim Wafi, son Ayesha Humaiya and KM Ajam, was killed on June 22. Police recovered his body from Adabor Nobodoy Housing area in a sack.

KM Ajam filed a murder case with Adabor thana on juny 24 accusing his wife Ayesha Humaiya alias Esha and her boyfriend Shamsuzzaman alias Arif.
