ASHULIA (DHAKA): Police recovered body of a female garment worker at Ashulia on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Sumi Akhter, 18, daughter of Gafur Mia, hailed from Jagannathpur village under Modhukhali Thana of Faridpur district.

Sumi had been working at a garment factory in Ashulia industrial area and lived in a rental house there.

Sources said that police recovered her body after being informed by neighbor.

Ashulia Thana Sub-Inspector Liakat Hossain informed banglanews that the body was sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

“An Unnatural Death (UD) case has been filed in this connection,” he added.
