DHAKA: The High Court has issued show-cause notice to a super for not sending its orders to the authorities concerned about conducting investigation into RAB-11 members’ involvement in the sensational seven-murder of Narayanganj district.
AN HC bench comprising Justice Rezaul Haque and Justice Govinda Chandra Thakur issued the notice to Supreme Court’s criminal department’s super M Hossain on Wednesday.
On Monday (May 5), the High Court (HC) asked the government and CID to investigate into the alleged involvement of RAB in abduction and killings of seven people, including Narayanganj councilor Nazrul Islam, after taking Tk 6 crore.
SC passed the order after lawyer M Shamim Sarder notified newspaper reports in this connection.
Justice Rezaul Haque and Justice Govinda Chandra Thakur signed the order on Tuesday and ordered related division to send the order quickly.
Deputy attorney general of the concerned bench ASM Nazmul Haque said that the order was not sent till then when Justices inquired about advancement of the matter on Wednesday morning.
On summoning, super M Hossain informed the court that he has sent the letter but failed to explain the reason of delaying in sending the order.
The court then ordered the deputy registrar-2 to take actions against M Hossain.
The High Court in that order on Monday asked the government and CID to investigate into the alleged involvement of RAB in abduction and killings of seven people, including Narayanganj councilor Nazrul Islam, after taking Tk 6 crore and submit reports within seven days.
