DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday said her government is working to increase the fishery resources of the country. 

The premier made the remarks when exchanging views with the officials and the employees of the Water Resources Ministry during her visit at the ministry at 10:30am.

Hasina called on the ministry’s officials, employees, researchers, and the scientists to working on developing the water resources, discovering hybrid fish species and increasing fish production through research works.

She also inquired about the progress of the different projects under the ministry there.

Hasina made the visit in line with her visits to the ministries in a bid to boost the work speed and quality of the ministries.

Earlier, the premier, meanwhile, visited several ministries including power and energy ministry, home ministry, science and technology ministry and civil aviation ministry.
