MYMENSINGH: Two people were killed in a road accident at Sutia Bridge under Trishal upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Rafiq, 45 of Naopara village and Sirajul, 60, of Harirampur village of the upazila.

Witnesses said a CNG-run auto-rickshaw hit a bridge in the area after its driver lost his control around 1:15pm, leaving Rafiq dead on the spot and Sirajul injured critically.

Sirajul was rushed Trishal Upazila Health Complex where he succumbed to his injuries.

Officer-in-Charge of Trishal Thana Kamrul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
