3 RAB officials may surrender Wednesday

DHAKA: Three former officials of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), those were allegedly involved in the sensational seven-murder in Narayanganj, would possibly surrender before the court on Wednesday.

State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan made the assertion while talking to the journalists at his residence in the city on Tuesday night.

The trio, one from Navy and two from Army, was sacked from their duty at elite force RAB over their alleged involvement in the murder.

Earlier on Sunday, the High Court ordered Home Secretary to take necessary action to arrest the three officers of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) who were sacked from the service for their alleged involvement in killing seven people in Narayanganj in exchange of Tk 6 crore.

On April 30, Narayanganj City Corporation Councilor Nazrul Islam, senior lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarker and five others were found dead floating on River Shitalkkhya after 3-day of their abduction.
