DHAKA: The 8th National Debate Festival (NDF)-2014 will be held at Bangla Academy Auditorium in the city on May 16-17. 

The event will start at 9:00am where some 2000 teachers, students and debating club moderates from various government and private schools and colleges will join in the program. 

The debate festivals will be held in several sessions like as inauguration and lifetime achievement award distribution and various workshops on debate, presentation of several formats of debates include NDAD on BD format, regional, parliamentary, plan chat, world format, comedy and so on. 

This will be the biggest talent & young gathering in Bangladesh.  

Bangladesh Orthoniti Samity President Professor Dr Abul Barakat, also Janata Bank Chairman, will be given the lifetime achievement award. 

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, eminent educationist Professor Anisuzzaman will address the programme. 

Bangla Academy Director General Shamsuzzaman Khan, Channel I and Impress Telefilm Ltd Managing Director of Faridur Reza Sagor, World University of Bangladesh Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Abdul Mannan Chowdhury will be present on the occasion.
