2 held with 5 gold bars in Benapole

JESSORE: Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) Friday detained two smugglers from Benapole frontier of the district while carrying five gold bars to a money exchanger.

BGB Sources said that they seized the five pieces of gold bars weighing around 725 grams.

The arrestees were identified as Jasim Uddin, 32, son of Anil Mandal and Uttam Mollah, 45, son of Mojam, residing in Nawapara area of Jessore.

Lieutenant Matiur Rahman, Commanding Officer of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) 26 battalion, told banglanews that the detainees were taking the smuggled gold to a money exchanger farm of the Benapole check post area.
