3rd day’s mass hearing underway

NARAYANGANJ: The mass hearing on the gruesome seven-murder in Narayanganj has begun for the 3rd day at the guest house of Siddirganj Power House  in the district on Saturday.

The administrative investigation committee started the hearing at 11:00am where hundreds of people have already thronged to give their deposition.

Meanwhile, the administration concerned asked people, who really witnessed the incident, to give statement.

On May 10, the probe committee took the disposition of 25 family members of the seven victims at the conference room of the district deputy commissioner.

Later, in the first phase of mass hearing, the committee recorded depositions of six people at the district Circuit House on May 12 while of 71 out 98 enlisted people in the second phase on May 15 there.

During the second phase hearing, victims’ relative demanded to hold the hearing at Siddirganj.

Earlier, police arrested two former Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) officers from Dhaka cantonment area for their suspected link with sensational 7-killing after abduction in Narayanganj.

Narayanganj Police Super Dr Khandakar Muhith Uddin and Dhaka Cantonment Thana Duty Officer Mamunur Rashid confirmed the matter to banglanews.
