RAB losing reliability: Rony Golam Maula Rony

DHAKA: Golam Maula Rony, MP categorically said that he can’t rely on Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) like before.

He came up with the observation while addressing a round table meet titled ‘Demand to abolish RAB and Implementation’ at the conference room of East-West Media Group at Badhundhara residential area in the capital Saturday.

Golam Maula Rony said, “There was a conflict between forces about RAB and that conflict has become terrific now. RAB had to conduct many operations and took liabilities after not getting help from police.”

He also said that this inter-force conflict should be resolved soon, otherwise the situation would be worse and RAB should bear in mind that they are public servant.

Film director Kazi Hayat said, “Abolishing can’t be a solution to the problem regarding RAB, rather it should be reformed and should be made accountable.”

The meet was also attended among others by editor of the Daily Kalerkantho Imdadul Haq Milon, constitution expert Dr Shahdin Malik and former VC of CU Dr Abdul Mannan.
