Miscreants’ fire kills 4 of a family

GOPALGANJ: Four members of a family were burnt to ashes as miscreants set fire to their house in Gopalganj Sadar early Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Huria Begum, 65, Aminul Sarder, 14, Tamim Fakir, 7 and Tamima Akter, residents of the area.

Locals said that neighbor of the victims and son in law of Huria Begum, Azad Mollah and his cohorts allegedly set fire to the house in at Dumdia village under Sadar upazila in late night, leaving them dead. 

Another person received burn injuries in the incident.

Officer-in-Charge of Gopalganj Sadar Thana Jakir Hossain Mollah said that the bodies were sent to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Confirming the matter to banglanews Assistant Police Superintendent of Gopalganj Monirul Islam said that miscreants torched the house over past feud.
