DHAKA: A student of Jagannath University (JnU) was killed in gas cylinder blast at Middle Rasulpur under Kamrangirchar of the capital on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Al Amin alias Nasir, 26, son of Mantu Khan, hailed from Haimchar of Chandpur district.

Nasir, a student of MBA in Jagannath University, was living here at one of his maternal uncle’s home in the area.

Witnesses said Nasir was injured at the gas cylinder blast incident in a community center at the in front of Rony Market of the area.

Babu, a witness, told banglanews that Nasir was injured critically and locals rushed him to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he died in the afternoon.
