DHAKA: Narayanganj City Ward Councilor Jannatul Ferdous Nila was freed after she was detained for police interrogation in connection with the seven-murder in the district.     

A team of detective branch of police picked her up from Hajiganj Fire Service Station area in the town on Sunday evening.

Nila is known as the girl friend of Nur Hossain, the prime accused of the abduction and killing of the city’s panel mayor Nazrul Islam and six others.

On April 30, seven bodies, including Narayanganj panel mayor Nazrul Islam and his four aides and senior lawyer Chandan Sarker and his driver were found floating in the Shitalakkhya River.    

They were kidnapped from Dhaka-Narayanganj Link Road on April 27.
