DHAKA: Six persons were killed and over a dozen injured in two separate road accidents in Tangail and Dhamrai districts on Thursday morning.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

In Tangail, Police sources said that two rashly driven trucks collided head on in Pustakmari area under Mirzapur upazila of Tangail early in the morning, leaving three people dead on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge of Gorai Highway Thana Abu Jobayed confirmed the matter to banglanews.

On the other hand three workers including a female worker were killed and 30 others injured as a staff bus plunged into a roadside ditch in Dautia area under Dhamrai upazila at the outskirt of the capital on Tuesday morning.

Sub-Inspector of Dhamrai Thana Jalil confirmed the matter to banglanews.
