DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Wednesday placed four-day remand to Aminul Islam alias Dish Babu for police interrogation for his alleged involvement in murder of Juba League leader Riazul Haque Khan Milki.

Magistrate Shahriar Masud of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court passed the remand order after holding a hearing when Investigation Officer (IO) of the case ABM Siddikur Rahman produced Babu before the court with a 10-day remand plea.

Riazul Haque Khan Milky, organising secretary of Dhaka city south unit of Juba League was gunned down by miscreants in front of Shoppers’ World at Gulshan Avenue-1 in the city on July 29, 2013.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested six persons in this connection and submitted a charge sheet against 12 people on April 15.

Hours after the incident, the main accused of the murder case Juba League leader Zahid Siddiki Tarek was killed in crossfire with RAB.

Milki's murder sparked wide sensation as the TV channels carried the footages grabbed by the close circuit cameras of the shopping complex, visibly beyond the knowledge of Tarek.
