Wild elephant kills woman in Bandarban

BANDARBAN: A woman was trampled to death and three others injured by wild elephants in Tumbrupara village of Ghumdhum union under Naikhangchari upazila of the district early Friday.

The deceased was identified as Sahara Khatun, 23, wife of Nurul Boshor.

Confirming the matter Naikhangchari Ghumdhum Union Parisad member Abdur Rahim told banglanews, “A herd of wild elephants entered into the house of Nurul Boshor in the area and smashed the house, leaving the victim dead on the spot and three others injured.”

Later, the injured were sent to upazila health complex, he added.
