DHAKA: Pro-BNP lawyers started boycott of all court proceedings across the country from Sunday morning in protest against police obstruction to hold rally at Supreme Court premises.

Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum brought out a protest procession at Bar Bhaban around 9:30am.

During the time, the entrance which linked Bar Bhaban and the Supreme Court has been shut.

On Saturday, Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum president Barrister Rafiqul Islam Mia, also BNP standing committee member, declared a 5-day protest program while addressing a rally organized by Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum at National Press Club in city.

The programmes are ----court boycott by lawyers on Sunday, nationwide protest on Monday, human chain across the country on Tuesday and black flag procession on May 28 and May 29.

BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia addressed the rally of lawyers.

Earlier, Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum called the grand rally, protesting the kidnappings and killings across the country, interferences on judiciary and killing of Narayanganj Bar Lawyer Advocate Chandan Kumar.
