COMILLA: A person was killed and 30 others were injured in a road accident in Khila area under Manoharganj upazila of the district on Friday.

The identities of the casualties could not be known immediately.

Locals said that a Comilla bound passenger bus plunged into a roadside ditch in the area as its driver lost his control over the steering around 6:15pm, leaving one person dead on the spot and 30 others injured critically.

However, the injured were rushed to Laksam Upazila Health Complex.

Officer-in-Charge of Manoharganj Thana Harun-ur-Rashid confirmed the matter to banglanews.
