MADARIPUR: Miscreants shot and slaughtered two people, including a madrasa teacher, dead in Tekerhat area of the district on Saturday night.
Of the deceased, one was identified as Maulana Abul Basar, 50, Assistant Professor of an Alia Madrasa.
Officer-in-charge Moniruzzaman of Rajoir Police Station confirmed the matter to banglanews.
The law enforcers recovered a pipe gun, machetes from the spot.
