DHAKA: All new buildings in the capital including of Rihabs and private buildings have to install Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP).
Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) would also publish advertisement to make people aware about this.
Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain made the disclosure while talking to reporters after a DAP correction committee meeting Wednesday.
He said all building both private owned or Rihab-made should follow the rule of planting ETP and it would be mandatory to pass a building plan.
The decision was made to save four rivers of Dhaka and the environment and it would be implemented from now. RAJUK was asked to the publish advertisement.
For the constructed building, they should establish ‘Soap Pit’, he added.
An amount of aid from Japan would be spent to prevent the river pollution.
