NEW YORK: Macon Phillips, Coordinator of the Bureau of International Information Programs, will arrive in Dhaka Sunday on a four-day visit.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, US state department said that he will meet youths, civil society leaders, telecommunications experts, and government officials.

During his visit to Dhaka from June 8-11, Coordinator Phillips will visit the Edward M. Kennedy Center for Public Service and the Arts, one of the Department’s premier American Spaces, to participate in Environmental Day celebrations and entrepreneurship initiatives. 

He will also meet with youth, civil society leaders, telecommunications experts, and government officials.

Later on June 12, Phillips will fly for Kazakhstan where ill participate in a TechForum, through which the Department of State pairs leaders in the technology community with civil society organizations to provide training, resources, and assistance. 

He will meet with university leaders and telecommunications officials, and visit media outlets.

During his visit to Astana, Kazakhstan June 15-17, Phillips will meet with government officials, media executives, and civil society leaders
