JESSORE: Twin sisters drowned in a pond at Dhalda village under Sharsha upazila of the district on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Rimi and Jhimi, three and half years old and daughters of Shahidul Islam of the area.

Family sources said the two siblings went missing around 8:00am.

Family members and locals, after a frantic search, found their bodies floating in a pond near their house at 11:00am.
