DHAKA: In a latest development in the public administration, some seven no-cadre officials were made as assistant secretaries.

Ministry of Public Administration issued a circular in this regard on Monday.

The newly promoted assistant secretaries are health ministry’s personal official Anwar Hossain, Prime Minister Office’s personal official Mohiuddin Mia, education ministry’s administrative officer Haider Ali Molla, financial department officials Golam Sarwar, Abdul Gafur, and Mohammad Ali and bank and financial department administrative officer Nahrin Sultana.

Sources said that Ministry of Public Administration issued the promotion letter in the afternoon over Public Service Commission secretariat’s recommendation which was passed on June 3.

The newly promoted officials will be attached with the Ministry of Public Administration until further order.
