NATORE: A wife allegedly killed her husband in Baraigram of the district early Wednesday during a family dispute centering watching the running world cup football match.
The deceased was identified as Selim Hossain, 25, residing in school para of the village Lakkhipur of the Thana.
Police said that they have detained the wife, Jesmin Akhter, 22, who have reportedly killed her husband on Wednesday morning.
Baraigram Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) M Ibrahim told banglanews on behalf of the family sources that Jesmin attacked her husband with lethal locally-made weapon, over dispute centering watching world cup football match till late night.
It left Selim seriously injured, OC added. Later he succumbed to his injuries while taking to the hospital.
