SAVAR: A fire broke out at the ZA Apparels, a readymade garment factory, in Kuturia area of the upazila, outskirt of the capital, on Friday evening.

On information, six units of EPZ Fire Services and Dhamrai Fire Services rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after two hours efforts.

Sources said fire originated from the generator room at the ground floor of the factory around 6:00pm.

Meanwhile, at least 20 people were reported to suffer injury while trying to get out of the building.

The injured were admitted to various local clinics.

Director of Ashulia Industrial Police Mostafizur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
